Rotterdam, April 9, 2021 – Koole Tankstorage Pernis, the market leader in sustainable and integrated storage and logistics solutions and Quatra, the market leader in the collection and processing of vegetable waste flows, are joining forces. This will allow Koole and Quatra to increase their added value for their customers, in the supply chain of edible oils and fats, and the circular economy.
Since January 1, 2021, ocean-going vessels have been required to wash their tanks after unloading and loading, and to dispose of the wash water at the port before departing. Koole and Quatra have fairly quickly identified a growing demand amongst ocean-going vessels for sustainable and transparent solutions for disposing of wash water.
‘Quatra Persistence’
From this viewpoint, under the name of Quatra Persistence, Koole and Quatra are providing a total solution for the collection and recycling of wash water, so that the recovered oils can be reused as sustainable biofuels. Both companies are endorsing the importance of the European Green Deal and their contribution to a circular economy.
